This is the final report that my group and I produced for our Marketing Analytics final project. In this class we learned how to use the programming tool, R. In our final project we decided to look into trends in the film industry. We used a TMDB dataset containing over 6000 movies and 20 descriptive variables, and analyzed variables such as budget, genre, production studio, and how they may determine and correlates to a film’s success, which we defined through variables like revenue and popularity. By utilizing this information, we sought to draw conclusions about what aspects of a movie that consumers are connecting to.
